Provides an overview of the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. This training examines the factors that led to the creation of the Justice Center and its responsibilities as mandated by the Protection of People with Special Needs Act (Chapter 501 of the Laws of 2012).

Interactive Online Training

Code of Conduct for Custodians of People with Special Needs

Provides an overview of the Code of Conduct for People with Special Needs. The Code of Conduct sets a framework to help people with special needs "live self-directed, meaningful lives in their communities, free from abuse and neglect and protected from harm." This interactive training includes real-life scenarios that ask the viewer to apply the Code of Conduct provisions. Upon completion, the viewer may sign and print the Code of Conduct pledge.
