The guidance outlined below provides recommendations and promising practices to agencies, staff, and people receiving services to ensure optimal health and safety while participating in community activities. 

This toolkit includes best practices and is intended to serve as a guide that can be modified as needed.  It does not address every scenario that could occur and does not replace or supersede any regulatory or certification requirements instituted by oversight or certification and licensing agencies.  The suggested preventive measures may not be appropriate for all individuals receiving services or in certain program environments.
